ESCA Hill Climb
Venue:
Burnhouses Dean. A climb of approx 1km with a 17% gradient.
How to get there:
The Dean starts at the T-junction signed Abbey St Bathans (and
Borders cycle loop logo) off the B6355 Preston-Gifford Road. From
the A1 take the A6112 at Grantshouse, heading for Duns. At the
village of Preston fork right onto the B6355. The Burnhouses Dean
is approx. 2.5 miles westward. From Duns, head towards Grantshouse
on the A6112, taking a left fork on the B6365. This joins the
B6355 after a mile or so.
Time-trial 10 mile
Start at the young plantation past Windshiel on the B6355. Continue on through Cranshaws to a dead-turn at the Bothwell road end. Re-trace
to finish at the Rigfoot phone box.

Starts Blacksmill burn bridge. Ends Whichester gates.

Pease Bay:
Starts at Pease Bay. Ends Howpark road end.
Burnmouth:
Course as for RNLI climb (550 yards at 20%!).
