Sunday morning club runs have started.  We meet at Duns swimming Pool at 10am.  Check out the forum to see if anyone intends to be there.

 

At all club events, every member and any "come and try" ( up to three times) riders are very welcome to come along even if they don't wish to compete, but just want to cycle some of the way as a group, marshall or whatever.




 

 

Downhill Freewheel Challenge

Tuesday saw the much anticipated downhill freewheel challenge commencing at Crossgate Ha’ Smiddy crossroads (south bound).  As Darren Silcock remarked, “It’s not about the bike, it’s about the chip shop” and so it proved.  Ian Watson, claiming to have been in training for such an event for the last 5 years, won in convincing style beating last years champion Ian Black by several car lengths.

And to prove it wasn’t a fluke Ian Watson rides the course again, this time on Duncan Martin’s bike, and manages to cover an additional 1.5 meters.
