2008 season underway.

New record set for Up The Cleugh - see results

AUCHENCROW THISTLE was started in spring 2002 and is fully affiliated to ESCA & SCU.
Auchencrow itself is a small village of about 20 houses and a pub (The Craw Inn) and was famed in Scottish history for its resident witches.
The village lies about thirteen kilometres from the fishing town of Eyemouth to the east and thirteen kilometres from the county town of Duns to the west, both with a population of around 2500.

The area boasts some of the most traffic free roads in Scotland and has the advantage of the long steep climbs of the Lammermuir hills to the immediate north and the flatter lands of the Merse to the south.

The distinctive club jersey is greatly in demand and is worn by riders as far afield as New Zealand, Australia and the USA. A full list of clothing can be found elsewhere on this site.

2006 was another highly successful year for the club with Neil Milton winning both the ESCA Senior TT championship and the ESCA Veterans TT championship. Aidan McIlroy won the ESCA junior TT championship and was also ESCA junior RR champion.

The Club holds Sunday training runs from October until the end of March, leaving Chirnside East End car park at 10.00am. Normal winter distance is around 65 kilometres at 24-25kph.

Circuit and Turbo Training sessions are held in Chirnside Community Centre between 7.00 & 8.00 pm during the winter months.

The summer Calendar begins at the start of April. Full details may be found elsewhere on this site. This will incorporate a King of the Mountains competition, a sprint training series, a ten mile time trial series, as well as mountain bike nights; all of which are ongoing throughout the summer.

The club is grateful to the following bicycle shops who offer members a 10% discount on cycle spares and accessories:

John Thorburn & Sons, Station Road, Duns.
Simon Porteous Cycles, Bridge Street, Kelso.
